He graduated in Business Management (Finance) from California Polytechnic State University popularly known as Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He is involved in the management of the family’s many businesses starting with Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellers Pvt Ltd, Vispark Jewellery Manufacturers Pvt Ltd, Suraj Agro Infrastructure Pvt Ltd, SJK Innovations Pvt Ltd and Suraj Agimpex.        
He brings to the family business ideas that are fresh and out of the box. With a strong desire to constantly incorporate the best from across the globe into the family business, Suraj is constantly on the look for fresh and exciting business strategies. 
Among all the businesses that his family is involved in, he is most passionate about Kirtilal Kalidas Jewellers Pvt Ltd. The jewellery chain has an unblemished reputation with over 84 years in retailing and manufacturing of fine Diamond Jewellery. 
He was appointed as the  Honorary Consul of Kazakhstan in the year of 2017.
In his leisure time, he enjoys Kayaking, River Rafting and Bungee Jumping. An avid traveler he has been to several countries.
