Kavin Venkatesh finished his Mechanical Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology and joined a startup  “Cherrinet” in 2015 as a Business Development Executive. Cherrinet is one of the fastest growing ISPs in Tamil Nadu. During his tenure, Kavin went on to become the Head of Marketing and was instrumental for growing their business from scratch to over 25,000 connections in a period of 3 years. Being immersed in the world of the internet, he noticed that the internet penetration in India was growing at an insanely rapid rate and realised brands can take good advantage of this. 

In 2019, he joined Maybell, a South Indian womenswear brand founded by his parents. At that time, Maybell primarily focused on offline sales through EBOs and MBOs, with an eCommerce revenue of 90 Lakhs in 2019. Kavin established a team for the eCommerce business, leading Maybell to become one of the fastest-growing D2C women’s wear brands in South India. In FY 22-23, they achieved 10 Crores in website sales with a positive bottom line. Maybell's retail presence grew from 6 EBO’s in FY20-21 to 30 EBO’s by FY 23-24 under his leadership. Today, their retail network spans more than 15 cities, 2 states, and 1 UT. His vision is to make Maybell the go-to brand for every Indian woman who celebrates South Indian art and culture.
