Nalini Parthiban is a trendsetter in the Food and Beverage industry, renowned for her innovative approach to transforming the South Indian sweets and snacks sector into a digital-first brand in 2015. Today, she is at the helm of SKC, serving authentic, home-style traditional delicacies to over 200,000 customers from their direct-to-consumer store across India and 19+ other countries.
With an MBA from the Department of Management Studies at Anna University, Nalini brings over a decade of experience in various fields including Strategy, Branding, Operations, Process Excellence, and Customer Experience. Her diverse skill set has been instrumental in her success as a business leader.
In collaboration with her husband Anand, Nalini has demonstrated the resilience and tenacity characteristic of a first-generation woman entrepreneur. Together, they have successfully bootstrapped Sweet Karam Coffee into a million-dollar consumer brand since its inception in 2015.
Nalini's journey began with a personal challenge. As a mother, she struggled to find the time to prepare traditional recipes at home and was unable to find home-style snacks made without palm oil or preservatives that she could order from the comfort of her home with a click of a button. Recognizing this gap in the market, she set out to bridge it, leading to the creation of her successful brand.
One of Nalini's key visions is to empower women homepreneurs, a mission that has significantly contributed to the authenticity and trust associated with her brand. She aspires to share not just the unique tastes of South India with the world, but also the rich tales and traditions that accompany them.
